The essentials
Start with the product price. Budget for the finished space.
LuxSol pergolas currently start at £2,150 including VAT for the Aura 3×3m. The complete project cost depends on the model, size, sides, base preparation, fitting and electrical work. Start with a priced specification, then add site-specific quotations rather than treating the pergola price as an all-in installed total.
- Prices checked 21 October 2026, including VAT.
- Accessories are priced separately by compatible opening.
- Groundwork, fitting and electrical work need their own scope.

How much does a LuxSol pergola cost?
The range gives you three different starting points. Aura has manual roof control, Como combines an electric roof with white lighting, and Tora offers larger sizes with white and RGB lighting. Comparing the cost is most useful once you know the footprint you need and which features you will use regularly.
The prices below were checked on 21 October 2026 and include VAT. They are pergola product prices, before optional sides, installation, groundwork or electrical work. Check the linked product for the current price and availability when you are ready to order.

Compare like for like
What changes the price of a pergola?
Size is only one factor. Roof controls, integrated lighting and compatible side options also change what you are buying. At the checked prices, an Aura 3×4m and a Como 3×4m differ by £501 before extras. That is a comparison between two complete model specifications, including their different roof controls and lighting, rather than a standalone price for adding a motor.
If you are deciding between those models, read our manual vs electric pergola guide. It explains when powered adjustment is useful and what electrical planning it involves. Browse manual louvred pergolas for straightforward handle operation, or electric pergolas for powered roof control.
Frame-only timber kits and complete aluminium louvred systems also need different comparisons. An open frame may be cheaper initially but provide a different kind of shade and shelter. If a separate canopy or roof is needed to achieve your intended result, include it in the other quotation. Our aluminium vs wood pergola comparison helps put the material, roof and upkeep choices on the same footing.
Optional extras
How much should you allow for pergola screens?
Price the sides opening by opening. Decide where you want privacy, which view to keep and how you will enter the space. One well-positioned screen can serve a layout better than enclosing every opening, especially if you want a clear route from the kitchen to the dining table.
At the same price check, the 3m manual pergola screen was £630, the 4m manual pergola screen was £717 and the 4m electric pergola screen was £894, including VAT. These are individual accessory prices, not a whole-pergola enclosure package.
Use the screen configuration guide to confirm compatibility with the exact model and opening. A nominal overall size does not necessarily describe one uninterrupted side. Larger Tora layouts need particular attention to bay widths and the available manual or electric options.
Slatted walls and other pergola accessories should be priced separately for the chosen configuration. A lifestyle photograph can show furniture and optional sides that are not included in the basic product price. Use the written specification to understand exactly what your quotation covers.
Worked specifications
What do three example pergola budgets look like?
These examples show how product choices add up using the checked prices. Each is a product subtotal, not an installed project quote. Groundwork, fitting, electrical work and any other selected accessories must be added according to your site. Furniture is not included.
| Example | Priced products | Product subtotal | Still to quote or confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compact manual setup | Aura 3×3m £2,150 + one compatible 3m manual screen £630. | £2,780 | Base preparation, fitting and any additional accessories. |
| Compact electric setup | Como 3×4m £2,913 + one compatible 4m electric screen £894. | £3,807 | Base preparation, fitting and electrical supply/connection. |
| Larger electric setup | Tora 4×4m £6,095 + two compatible 4m electric screens at £894 each. | £7,883 | Base preparation, fitting, electrical work and the final screen positions. |
The examples deliberately use different sizes and features. They illustrate specification choices rather than a like-for-like ranking of value. If you want to compare models fairly, use the same intended furniture layout and list the features you actually need in each option.
LuxSol states free UK mainland delivery on pergola orders. Confirm any address-specific arrangements and the delivery treatment of accessories ordered separately. Read the pergola delivery and installation details before turning a product subtotal into your own project budget.
Groundwork and fitting
Why is installation quoted separately?
Two identical pergolas can need different amounts of site preparation. One patio may already have suitable support at the fixing positions; another may require changes beneath the paving. Access, levels and the work needed around the base all affect the final scope. The visible surface alone cannot establish whether the support is suitable.
Start with the exact model dimensions and base guides. Ask your installer to check the proposed fixing positions and construction below them before setting a groundwork budget. Include drainage routes, concealed services and any paving repairs in that conversation so you understand the complete job.
You can self-install, use your own installer or ask LuxSol to arrange professional fitting. Self-installation still requires suitable preparation, tools, help and the correct instructions. Compare the real work you can undertake with the work you need quoted; treating your time or missing equipment as cost-free can make the initial comparison misleading.
Delivery and installation are separate stages. Agree what the fitting quotation includes, who provides electrical work and whether specialist drilling or packaging removal costs extra. Keep these responsibilities in writing so a low-looking quotation does not hide a different scope from the one you expected.
Use the pergola installation guide to compare fitting routes and clarify the scope of your quote.
Ongoing costs
What does a pergola cost to run and maintain?
A manually operated roof does not use electricity. An electric roof uses power when operated, while lighting and powered accessories have their own usage. Without the exact equipment rating and operating time, a precise running-cost promise would be misleading. Check the supplied information for the selected model instead of applying one estimate to every pergola.
If you add a 2kW heater, the arithmetic is straightforward: 2 × hours used × your electricity price per kWh. At an illustrative rate of 25p per kWh, one hour at full 2kW power would cost 50p. That rate is an example, not a statement of your current tariff, and heating an open outdoor area is different from heating an insulated room.
Allow time for cleaning, clearing debris and inspecting components as directed in the manual. Aluminium avoids the regular staining routine associated with many timber finishes, but that does not make the whole installation maintenance free. Keeping drainage clear also supports normal rainwater management; our louvred pergola rain guide explains why it matters.
If you are adding warmth for cooler evenings, our pergola heating guide explains placement checks and how to estimate running costs using your own electricity tariff.
Make a decision
How can you keep the budget focused?
Choose the size around your furniture and access routes first. Then decide which controls, lighting and sides will improve the way you use the space. Reducing the footprint simply to reach a headline price can be poor value if it makes the dining layout uncomfortable; adding every accessory can be equally unnecessary if you prefer an open garden view.
Before asking for a final quotation, have your preferred model and size, a patio sketch, photographs, screen positions and installation requirements ready. Use our pergola measuring guide to prepare the layout and the aluminium pergola buying guide to check the broader specification.
Pergola + compatible accessories + confirmed delivery arrangements + base work + fitting + electrical work + any finishing work. Mark a category as “not required” only after checking it, rather than silently leaving it out.
Book a pergola consultation when you are ready to work through the specification. A clear brief makes it easier to compare options and spend on the features that will matter in your garden.

Common questions
Pergola cost questions
Do these prices include VAT?
Yes. The GBP product prices in this guide include VAT and were checked on 21 October 2026. Recheck the selected product and quotation before ordering.
Is installation included in the pergola price?
Professional installation is quoted separately. Base preparation and electrical work also need their own agreed scope. Do not treat the worked product subtotals as fitted prices.
Are screens included?
The screens in the worked examples are separately priced accessories. Confirm the contents of your selected specification rather than assuming that everything shown in a lifestyle image is included.
Can I add accessories later to spread the cost?
Possibly, subject to the exact model, opening and fitting position. Confirm compatibility and future electrical requirements before relying on a later addition.
